Abstract

|
|
Three External Quality Assessment trials which composed of 10 control materials(five chemical materials, two photographs of urinary sediments, two microscopic materials, one hCG test material) for interlaboratory quality control assessment in
urinalysis
were performed with 375 participants in the year of 1995.
The survey results are summarized as follows:
1. The response rate of participating institutions were decreased compared with last year because of the response rate of the new partipants were low.
2. the performance of biochemical test were good. but in case of bilirubin and uribilinogen test of positive specimens, the acceptable value were applied to the institutions using Ames reagent strip.
3. The percentage of using urinalysis analyzer were increased(71.9%).
4. In quality control of urinary sediment, the consideration of the manufacture and mailing of control materials for practical microscopy are required for the successful assesment and in the results oif photograpic quality control assesment of
renal
tubular epithelial cell, the acceptable response were only 47.6%.
